  This is a really great local hardware with the value-added of nice and knowledgeable staff who can give very relevant and helpful advice on almost any home or garden project. These are the kinds of stores it's getting harder to find. The Do It Best brand helps them offer common items at lower cost, and keeps them competitive with the big box stores. They have a surprising stock of plumbing, electrical, and hardware on hand. Between the help offered and the gas saved, this store is a great local alternative to the warehouse-style mega outlets in the city. If you live in VC you probably know this already.
